The profiles provide 100% resistivity of the magnetic tape against unsticking, better protection against impurities and metal chips. They also make the installation easier.  Advantage of the profile is its rigidity and smooth surface preventing from deposition of impurities on the surface. This aluminium profile is suitable primarily for the TMLS-05A-05 series magnetic encoders.
